ScrollUp is designed with a zero-data-collection philosophy. Your privacy is not just a policy—it's built into the extension's core.

📊 Data Collection

ScrollUp collects NO data whatsoever. This includes:

Personal information
Browsing history
Website content
Usage statistics
IP addresses
Device information
Cookies or trackers

🔧 Required Permissions

Permission	Why It's Needed
storage	Saves your settings (position, button size, reverse scroll, branding preference) locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser.
<all_urls>	Allows the scroll button to appear on every website you visit. The extension does not read, modify, or interact with website content in any way.

💾 How Your Settings Are Stored

✓ Settings are saved using Chrome's storage.sync API
✓ Data is stored locally on your device
✓ If you're signed into Chrome, settings sync across your browsers (encrypted by Chrome)
✓ No data is ever sent to our servers (because we don't have any!)

🌐 Third-Party Services

ScrollUp does NOT use:

Google Analytics
Any tracking pixels
Advertising networks
External APIs
Any third-party services at all

📅 If this policy ever changes (it probably won't, since we don't collect data), we'll update the "Last Updated" date and notify users via the GitHub repository.
